Anders arnholm

Anders has been at Mecel since April 2008. He has been most working with bringing Linux and open platforms into a automotive quality. He had the roles of developer, system engineer and configuration manager.

He has worked with embedded Linux, and OSE systems as well as windows desktop systems. By combining internet technologies with mobile connectivity for the embedded market new possibilities have been explored.

Before joining Mecel AB, Anders worked just sort of ten years as consultant for HiQ, mainly developing onsite for customers as Ericsson. He was also the CIO for HiQ’s Gothenburg office.

PROJECT Experience

Maj 2009 – present: Mecel AB - HMIIOM

The HMIIOM (Human Machine Interface Input Output Module) is a ECU in V3P’s new infotainment/entertainment system. The node collects and determines what information is displayed to a driver. Anders has been working with the unit verification of the software developed at Mecel AB.

Jan 2009 –  Maj 2009: Mecel Betula Head Unit Concept

The application combines the power of the Mecel Betula suite with the power full HMI of Mecel Populus. Anders has been doing the application programming connecting the two Tools with each other.

Apr 2008 – Jan 2009: Mecel Populus, Zodiac

The Zodiac project has created a concept environment and reference platform for Linux. The platform is a part of Delphi’s GENIVI work. The outcome of the project has been an infotainment cluster possible to interrogate streaming radio and YouTube clips over a cellular network into the automotive platform.

Mar 2005 – May 2008: HiQ AB

HiQ Göteborg is a consultancy company with expertise in communications and software development. Anders have been responsible for the Gothenburg office IT solutions. In 2007 he stepped up to take the role of CIO for the branch office.

Oct 2007 – May 2008: Ericsson AB

Anders has been part of Ericsson’s team for software in the military grade radio link. The radio uses advanced software methods to avoid being jammed. It has a unique adoptive frequency handling steered from the software. Anders has been the main software responsible leading the team.

Mar 2004 – Oct 2007: Ericsson AB, GGSN

Anders has been part of the tools team for the GGSN product. The team have developed all tools needed for verification of the GGSN nodes. This includes a large mobile fleet simulator. Anders has been creating new tools with strategies to automatic verification of the node.

Anders has worked with testing and test tool construction for Ericsson’s mobile phones in Basingstoke, England. Both as on site support and contact person between Ericsson in Lund and Basingstoke.

Anders has been the responsible for the test code allocated in the phone. Creating a strategy for testing several use cases and how they interact with each other. He has been integration responsible for phone software and test code.

Jan 2001 – Dec 2001: Ericsson Microwave System

TARAS is a radio for encrypted communication between the combat control centre and the pilot in an aircraft as the JAS39 GRIPEN fighter. Anders have been ported the TARAS radio ground station to OSE delta. In addition to this a strategy for using ClearCase as CM system for EMW has been developed.

Oct 2000 – Jan 2001: Ericsson Microwave System, Giraffe radar.

The Giraffe AMB is an air defence radar, developed by Ericsson. It have an integrated C3 system that can control and combine information from a cluster of Giraffe radars. Anders has been responsible for the development of the built in test functionality for the communication link.

Feb 1999 – Oct 2000: Ericsson Mobile Data Design

Ericsson has developed a End-to-end mobile fleet simulation tool. Each mobile in the simulation have it’s own characteristics and can make individual decisions based on the users profile. Anders has been responsible for the development of the code, and the CM handling in the project.

Sep 1998 – Feb 1999: Ericsson Mobile Data Design

SA-MTE is a powerful test tool for manufactures of mobitex systems. It provides a full set of test tools that can emulate and verify the radio traffic. Anders have been the lead developer of the tool. The system runs in a java environment on Windows NT and Solaris workstations.

Umeå University has around 30000 students. Anders worked for the department of computing science with computer administration and for the department of linguistics with software development.
